Global Distance Learning and Residential Learning

Saybrook's global distance learning programs are flexible programs offered primarily at a distance that help you integrate education into your life. Many of our students are working professionals. Our global distance learning options give working professionals the opportunity to complete a degree wherever they live. All students in our global distance learning programs are required to attend a residential orientation and two residential conferences per year until the project or thesis stage (master's students) or the essay stage (doctoral students). Students in the MA Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy Specialization are required to attend a residential conference each semester of their program.

Saybrook residential learning programs have more significant residential requirements in order to achieve specific educational outcomes. Residential learning is conveniently clustered and scheduled to the maximum extent practicable. These programs are offered in specific geographic locations where Saybrook has a presence.

Specialize Your Degree

Saybrook offers optional degree specializations for students seeking to work in a specific field. Specializations provide students with the flexibility to pursue their specific goals and focus their education in these areas.

Focus Further With Degree Concentrations and Certificates

Within a degree or specialization, students also have the opportunity to better prepare themselves for professional work by focusing their studies with optional concentrations and certificates.

Your Uniquely Tailored Degree Program

The combination - degree, specialization, and concentration - helps make each student's program of study unique and tailored to their specific needs and interests. Saybrook is committed to truly individualized education, and our faculty support all research interests as long as they are pursued with academic rigor.
