Concentrations

To help students customize their education as much as possible, Saybrook offers optional "concentrations" - focused study in particular areas in which our faculty are recognized leaders - that may be taken in addition to a student's core program. Once earned, a concentration is listed on a student's transcript.

To earn a concentration, MA students must take nine units in a concentration area; PhD students must complete 18. In some cases, concentration courses may also serve as credit towards a student's degree program.
