The College's PhD Psychology, Clinical Psychology Specialization focuses on clinical psychology with an emphasis on humanistic and transperonal perspectives. The program can provide those who may not intend or need to use the degree to qualify for licensure with an experience that further develops their clinical knowledge, expertise, and professional capacities.

The program meets the professional standards and the current (2008) educational and training requirements for licensure in the state of California, and may meet the education and training requirements of other states. It is the student's responsibility to research and unerstand licensure requirements for the state in which they wish to practice.

The program is a more structured program than the non-specialization PhD Psychology as it offers clnical psychology courses in all of the standard domains recommended by the American Psychological Association (APA). This program is not accredited by the APA or by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB).
